Kevin Durant to Make Suns Debut on Wednesday

Following the blockbuster trade that sent superstar Kevin Durant from the Nets to the Phoenix Suns, the team finally has a debut date. Durant will play his first game for Phoenix on Wednesday, March 1 against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Suns’ official Twitter account released the news on Tuesday morning.

On February 9, 2023, the Nets traded Kevin Durant and T.J. Warren to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Jae Crowder, four first round picks and a 2028 first round pick-swap. The Nets would go on to trade a few of those players for more picks at the trade deadline.

So far this year, Durant is scoring 29.7 points per game, grabbing 6.7 rebounds and dishing out 5.3 assists. He’s played in 39 games this year, and has a career mark in free throw shooting percentage at 93.4 percent.
