Considering that Helldivers 2 is a sequel to a very popular game, it is no surprise that people are looking for some of the things that were available in the previous game. One of them is the Helldivers 2 Illuminate.

For those of you who do not know, the illuminate in Helldivers 2 are enemies that were really popular. Many people who decided to try this new game wanted to learn more about 

whether these units were available. Sadly, it seems like this is not the case.

Will I find Helldivers 2 Illuminate?

As much as we want to say yes, the reality is that illuminate aren’t present in Helldivers 2. People who’ve played the first game that came out in 2015 probably remember them, but the devs decided not to include these units. Fortunately, there are many other enemies that you can go up against.

People who aren’t aware of the illuminate will see that they are regarded as highly sophisticated opponents. However, instead of adding them to the latest game, the devs decided to change the enemies. Consequently, Helldivers 2 is mainly about fighting against aliens, cyborgs, bugs, and more.

What’s interesting is that not all enemies are new. While you won’t find Helldivers 2 Illuminate, some opponents, such as the Terminds, are the same as in the previous game.

When will Illuminate arrive in Helldivers 2?

As much as we want to speculate and tell you that the Helldivers 2 Illuniate will be around soon, this is most likely not the case. We have analyzed everything that the devs said, and by the looks of it, there are no plans for the Illuminate to return to Helldivers 2’s roster.

However, this does not mean that these opponents won’t arrive in the future. According to some tweets, the devs have big plans for the game, which means we will most likely get new updates. We would not be surprised if some contain the Helldivers 2 Illuminate because of the enemies’ popularity.
