We thought the four games on offer in the base Sonic Origins offering would have been enough nostalgia for us. The original four SEGA games would normally have been enough. We thought wrong though as 12 more are coming to Sonic Origins in a massive update. That isn’t a typo, 12 old games are being added and Sonic Origins Plus is out now on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

The Sonic aficionados will likely have noticed that these are all from the SEGA Game Gear.
Now, we all know how much SEGA love a compilation every now and again. But many of these games here are releasing for the first time away from the Game Gear. That’s good news for all lovers of Sonic the Hedgehog, right?

But that isn’t all for the update. There is a load more content too.
As well as the Mirror Mode, anniversary updates to all games, music player and behind the scenes content from before, a brand-new playable character is being added in to the four main games of Sonic Origins.
Who could that be you ask? None other than Sonics estranged/jilted/unrequited love interest Amy Rose. For the first time ever Amy will be playable in Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD.
