A prime piece of Glenelg real estate near Moseley Square has hit the market – but not the kind you’d usually come across in the popular beachside suburb.

In fact, many people struggle to find spots like it in the area, especially during the warmer months.

The ‘property’ at Lot 49 Colley Tce is a group of six carparking spaces in the underground carpark below The Beachouse and Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club.

The car parks are currently leased at $1529.65 per month. Picture: realestate.com.au/Naomi Will of Naomi Will Real Estate.

They are on the market for the first time in almost 20 years, with a $320,000 price guide.

Selling agent Naomi Will, of Naomi Will Real Estate, said they were collectively leased at $1529.65 per month with the term yet to be determined.

The owner purchased them in 2006 and was selling them because it was time to move on, she said.

“They must have sold them off in groups of six back in the day,” Ms Will said.

“It’s like a subdivision of land.”

Ms Will said car parks in the area rarely hit the market so the property was offering a unique opportunity.

“It’s very, very rare, the last sale I found was in 2011,” she said.

“There’s just no parking there at the best of times.

“It will be interesting to see who actually does pick it up.

“I’d say it would be a local business or maybe one of the apartment businesses there that offer carparking and they’ll just on-charge.”

The carparks are in a central location with access to an elevator that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
