As we past the middle of January, teams are firming up their roster as they face the gauntlet that is 2022. We have seen returns to CS:GO, and no doubt we will be seeing more as the month goes on before the full CS:GO season starts.
Evil Geniuses
Timothy “autimatic” Ta has signed on with Evil Geniuses after he left his previous team, T1 (VALORANT). His move to EG is on the back of the announcement that Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip is also joining the CS:GO team.
His return to CS:GO comes after a year of disappointing results with VALORANT where he and his previous team did not win a single tournament. With Evil Geniuses, he is expected to be holding the primary rifler position instead of his previous position of AWP with Gen.G.
We only need to have William “RUSH” Wierzba to complete the old trio that won the ELEAGUE Boston Major in 2018. Fans and pundits alike look forward to autimatic’s performance with his new team this coming year.
The North American team has finally firmed up their roster for 2022, and as we have previously reported, the team will be a mix of people from different teams.
The new roster will be:
- Johnny “JT” Theodosiou
- Justin “FaNg” Coakley
- Ricky “floppy” Kemery
- Michael “Grim” Wince
- Paytyn “Junior” Johnson
Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen will be the team’s coach. He also hailed from Extra Salt.
The team will be playing at the Funspark ULTI 2021 tournament for the first time, as well as the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Groups
Last Dance
After being let go by Team Liquid, Gabrie ‘Fallen’ Toledo has announced a new roster featuring an all-Brazilian team. The project gathers back old names into a team that they hope will make them shin again in the CS:GO circuit.
The roster for Last Dance consists of:

- Fernando ‘fer’ Alvarenga
- Lincoln ‘fnx’ Lau
- Ricardo ‘boltz’ Prass
- Vinicius ‘VINI’ Figueiredo
Luis ‘peacemaker’ Tadeu will be acting as their coach.
