With the F1 season now underway, Frontier Developments has announced its third annual F1 Manager experience will be releasing for PS5, PS4 this summer as a digital title. F1 Manager 2024 will cost £29.99 / $34.99 and — for the first time — allows you to put together your own custom F1 team and race them to victory. Check out the trailer above.
Instead of managing the likes of Mclaren, Ferrari, or Red Bull, players now have the option to “curate their creativity to bring their dream designs to life, whilst negotiating sponsorship opportunities to ensure a steady stream of income to fuel their ambition. Identifying up-and-coming talent to rise up the grid order or cherry-picking the biggest stars in the sport in the pursuit of immediate success, the choice is theirs to make before the covers are lifted from their championship challenger.”
In addition, F1 Manager 2024 will add a new “mentality system” that tracks crew members’ personalities and demands, giving you the chance to shape and fulfil their motivations. “However, in Formula 1 every team strives to be the one lifting the trophies and rival teams will provide a constant threat year-on-year, with enhanced AI closing the gap between players and their competitors both on and off the track, whilst the underlying threat of drivers and staff being poached means that a paddock shake-up is never far away.”
