Are the bots in Splitgate? It’s one of the most pressing questions surrounding the recently popular arena shooter.
Splitgate is the marriage of popular arena shooters like Halo with the puzzle intricacy of Valve’s Portal. The first-person shooter features multiple weapons, game modes, casual and ranked playlists and more for players to dive into. The game has gone through multiple iterations, even previously being known Wormhole Wars. The game recently entered permanent beta as developers 1047 Games continue to perfect the title.
One thing that players have been wondering is if there are bots in Splitgate, more specifically in matchmaking games.

Yes, there are bots in Splitgate. Bots can be added in custom matches for players to hone their craft, but more importantly bots populate matchmaking games when players leave games. Players aren’t forced to play 3-v-4 or worse against a full team when players back out. A nice touch from 1047 Games that should keep games going.
Bots are also replaced by players whenever they join. It’s never fun playing a competitive multiplayer game down a player, so at least 1047 Games has added bots to make up for it until real players join the game.
Splitgate is currently in Season 0 featuring a new Ranked Season, battle pass, cosmetics and more.
