Last year, Web three experienced a lot of ups and downs. Joining us now to discuss this is alchemy protocol specialist, Jason Win Dai. Jason, welcome to the show. Thank you. It’s great to be here, Jen. There’s a lot happening in the headlines this morning. What’s your quick reaction to the news? Is anything standing out to you? I think it’s super interesting that traditional finance is starting to get involved in Web three and doing analyst reports as though these are traditional companies. It’s really interesting to have that perspective coming into a space that has historically been focused elsewhere. I used to host a show on coin desk called the Hash, and every time we had an analyst report, we sort of did a collective eye roll. But I think your perspective is a good one. Traditional finance is starting to make sense of what’s happening in this industry to a broader audience, which is probably a good thing. Now you co-authored a web three report over at alchemy. Talk to us about some of the trends that you’re watching heading into 2024. Looking back at 2023, we saw a lot of groundwork being laid for the things we expect to happen in 2024. Developer activity continued growing, smart contract deployments, continued growing. We also saw a lot of new L twos and L ones like Sui coming into play, and we expect to see a lot more of that and a lot more development in areas like competition for hosting these by L Twos or competition for hosting them across L ones or new developer tool kits. In addition, we’re seeing a merging of traditional finance and web three, especially with the tokenization of securities and the securitization of tokens. It’s likely we’ll see a lot more of that this year. We also talked about real-world assets. They were popular last year and this year, it seems like we’re focusing on them even more. It’s an exciting time for web three, and we are looking forward to seeing what 2024 has in store.
