OpenAI launches $10 Mn Grant Fund to take on Superhuman AI System

OpenAI is putting in place Superalignment team to tackle the challenge of superhuman AI system through a $10 Mn grant fund. The main aim of this research team would be to steer, regulate and superintelligent AI systems. Superintelligent basically implies a system whose intelligence far exceeds that of humans. OpenAI is inventing academic researchers, nonprofits and even individual engineers and scientists to apply for this grant. The final date for applying for this grant is OpenAI is 18th February, 2024. This project will be led by OpenAI’s chief scientist llya Sutskever, who was recently in news for playing a pivotal role in Sam Altman’s ouster.
