Last week, the winners of the biggest competition for online sellers in the Adriatic region were announced. The main award, Best in Adriatic, went to Slovenian online store Malinca. In total, 242 online stores from Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia entered the competition.
The Web Retailer Award show was held on November 9th, at the E-commerce Jam Conference in Ljubljana. It was organized by Ceneje, Jeftinije and Idealno, which are part of the Heureka Group. In total, 68 prized were awarded in 14 categories.
Based on reviews and expert jury
Competing online stores had to collect reviews from their customers. After that, they were evaluated on customer satisfaction and technical compliance with European standards. After that, the three online stores with the highest ratings in each category were included among the finalists.
“Although we are especially proud of our international panel of ecommerce experts this year, which numbered more than 100 members, the task was still demanding. What I must point out is that this year the registered online stores focused even more on providing an excellent experience to their users and this was one of the key differentiating factors among the competitors”, said Ana Lipovšek, UX & Analytics Specialist at Ceneje.si and member of this year’s WRA expert commission.

“The award within this competition really affects the reputation of the retailer and sets it apart from other competitors, but it also reveals a broader picture of current trends in the online sales industry and encourages positive changes for everyone involved.”
Winners most prestigious awards
The biggest winner of the evening was Malinca, who won the Best in Adriatic Award. It replaces Bigbang, who won that award in the last two editions. Below is the list of the winners of the most prestigious regional awards:
