The recently rebranded blockchain ecosystem Viction is pleased to announce the first-ever Viction Horizon Startup Hackathon, which will provide a platform for developers, creators, innovators, and visionaries to thrive within the Viction ecosystem. The hackathon will commence this month.

Viction Horizon Hackathon

In a statement, it was disclosed that the hackathon will begin on November 8 with a livestream on Zoom. On the other hand, the registration, workshops, and bootcamps opened on November 2 and will run until December 8.

Viction noted that entries will be accepted online from December 12 to 27, and judging is scheduled for December 28 to January 5, 2024. 

The virtual demo day and closing ceremony are scheduled for January 8 and 9.

What to Expect

Viction offers participants mentorship and guidance throughout the startup development process and fosters connections with like-minded individuals passionate about entrepreneurship and technology. 

“Viction Horizon is not just about the competition; it’s also about building connections. You’ll meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for entrepreneurship and technology,” the firm wrote.

The hackathon will include leaders from various web3 and tech entities such as Coin98, MetaOne, Reneverse, AltLayer, Covalent, Impossible Finance, CommonWealth, Arken, Stably, Verichains, Cetus, and Desig. 

The media release indicates that Coin98 Super Wallet is a co-host of the Viction Horizon, and it is also supported by various firms, such as Google Cloud, Amazon, LayerZero, InterLock, OffChain, and more. These firms are are recognized for their extensive expertise in building Web3 businesses, and will offer invaluable mentorship, technological excellence, and resources to the participants.

Moreover, Viction Horizon offers a range of hands-on workshops to improve skills in entrepreneurship, technology, and startup development, with online and offline options in various countries. The first series of workshops is set to begin in Vietnam on November 9, 2023.

As per the press release, the Viction Horizon Startup Hackathon offers participants a diverse set of tracks to stimulate innovation in the Web3 landscape. These tracks encompass a wide spectrum of ideas and solutions, catering to various passions and expertise. 

• The “Social” track encourages the creation of innovative solutions to enhance social interactions within the Web3 ecosystem, including decentralized social media platforms and NFT-based social experiences. 
• The “Gaming” track invites enthusiasts to explore the potential of blockchain gaming, from NFT-driven in-game assets to decentralized gaming ecosystems. 
• In the “Payment” track, participants delve into the evolution of financial transactions and payment systems, with a focus on decentralized payment solutions. 
• The “Stablecoin” track explores digital currencies designed for stability.
• The”DeFi” track delves into decentralized finance, enabling innovation in lending platforms, yield farming, and liquidity protocols. These tracks offer opportunities to redefine and advance various aspects of the Web3 landscape.

Viction Hackathon Prize

To be eligible for the prize, all projects must be implemented on Viction. The Hackathon is offering up to $200,000 in prizes.

Viction has noted that interested participants may refer to this hackathon ideas pool to create a product that aligns best with its expectations. 

Moreover, the first prize winner of the category track and the winners of the main track will be awarded travel grants (accommodation, flights, and networking party) to join the 3-day 2-night tour in Vietnam.
