51 St Andrews Drive, Port Hughes is adjacent Greg Norman’s championship designed golf course.

It offers water views and is next to one of SA’s top golf courses so it’s no surprise buyers are swinging into action to secure this hole-in-one home at Port Hughes.

Set on a 680sq m block, 51 St Andrews Drive is within the popular 80ha Dunes Development, which famously encompasses Greg Norman’s championship designed golf course.

The four-bedroom home is among only a select few to offer sprawling views across the green and a man-made dam, all while being only a few minutes drive from the beach.

It is also located within commuting distance to Adelaide, making the home even more enticing to buyers, according to selling agent Tim Hosking, of Harris Real Estate.

While the property is listed without a price, Mr Hosking expects the home could fetch within the vicinity of $800,000.

“Properties in the Dunes had once been quite a journey to sell but that certainly is not the case anymore,” he said.

“During Covid, the Dunes has become a spot of good interest … and an example of that is 20 Albatross Drive, which I sold for $830,000 after just four days on the market.

“I think what appeals is that we’re within the two hour window of Adelaide so more people are relocating this way but still work in the city, so they commute, but when they get home they get to enjoy the lifestyle.”

Lifestyle is certainly the key word for 51 St Andrews Drive, with the near-new home built with its peaceful surroundings in mind.

It encompasses four good-sized bedrooms, including a master with a walk-through robe and ensuite, a family bathroom, and an open-plan living area.

A modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances and pantry, and also offers access to a two-car garage.

Outside, a spacious alfresco awaits, complete with unparalleled views across a tranquil dam and the golf course beyond.

Mr Hosking said the home’s location was its major drawcard.

“It’s really the location of the home, the fact that it’s overlooking the dam, that makes it so unique,” he said.

“There’s also a quantity of land on the edge of the property that is owned by the golf course (and will never be developed), so it appears the block is bigger than what it actually is.

“It gives you that sense of privacy and space.”

While the home will certainly entice golfers, Mr Hosking said interest for homes within the Dunes development was diverse.

“We’ve got all this beautiful water around us with boat launch facilities and great fishing spots,” he said.

“So this home may become holiday accommodation but may also appeal to retirees looking to scale back.”

Expression of interest are invited.
