A STUNNING home with an incredible floating pool has sold for $6.75m in one of Brisbane’s prestigious acreage suburbs.

Property agent Alex Jordan from McGrath Paddington said the renowned Shaun Lockyer Architects designed the prestige home.

“This is one of the best homes put to market. It would take a lot to replicate this property in today’s construction costs,” Mr Jordan said.

The home is filled with lots of natural lighting and light colour pallets.

“The owners spent four years getting the home to its completed stage. A change of circumstances made the current owners sell the property, and it was never intended to sell.

“The new owners are a local young family and will move into this as their forever home.

“We did have significant interest from Melbourne and Sydney-based interstate buyers and international buyers.

Mr Jordan said he felt the Brisbane property market was stable, despite a short supply.

The home features a built in lounge a pool table fit for entertaining.

“We’re starting to see more properties come on the market,” he said.

“The higher end of the property market is performing exceptionally well, and it looks healthier than it has been.

“Anything that is essentially a turnkey product, something that is fully renovated or a brand new build, will see strong buyer activity.

“Buyers don’t want to go through the uncertainty or the cost of building works.

“We’re starting to see many people migrate to Brisbane from interstate.

“The higher end of the market, in my view, is very underpriced when you compare it to Byron Bay, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

“In my opinion, there’s a value gap that I expect we will see more strength in the Brisbane property market to come.

“When you look at other capital cities on the east coast like Sydney or Melbourne Sydney, their top end is more than 10 times what ours is in Brisbane.

“We max out between $15m and $20m, but it is considerably more if you go to Melbourne or Sydney.”
