The Talos Principle probably wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the Portal series. Valve’s first-person puzzlers have been massively influential on the genre and Devolver Digital isn’t shying away from that fact. Actually, the publisher is leaning into it with this brilliant promotional video for the just-released The Talos Principle 2.
In it, GLaDOS — the main antagonist of Valve’s Portal series — features in a short let’s play-style video, providing a running commentary on some gameplay footage of Croteam’s latest. As always, the character’s cutting observations steal the show, and Ellen McLain’s iconic performance brings Portal memories flooding back. It’s a neat video that has Devolver and Croteam poking some fun at their own game.
