Leading the charge is PGL, a name synonymous with premier esports events, announcing an ambitious plan to host eight tournaments, each boasting a $1 million prize pool.

The inaugural event, dubbed PGL Wallachia, is set to captivate audiences from Bucharest, Romania, starting May 10. This marks the beginning of PGL’s commitment to the Dota 2 community, extending through 2026.

Teams eager to showcase their prowess will have their chance starting March 21 with open qualifiers, leading to the closed qualifier stage on March 25.

PGL is no stranger to the Dota 2 arena, having hosted six majors in the late 2010s. Despite a brief hiatus, the organization’s return is a testament to its enduring passion for the game and its community.

The series will continue with a second tournament in November 2024, followed by a yearly cadence of three events in 2025 and 2026. Each tournament is a beacon, calling competitors to battle for glory and a share of the substantial prize pools.
