A striking Normanville house that’s hit the market is sure to bowl househunters over – which isn’t surprising given Australian cricket great Jason Gillespie called it home.
The former cricketer and now coach of both the Big Bash League’s Adelaide Strikers and SA men’s cricket team is selling the house at 28 Huntingdale Drive with his wife Anna.
It is listed with a price guide of at least $1.5m.
The couple bought the property in 2017 for $845,000, according to property records, after returning from the UK.

Gillespie said they moved to the area, which they both loved visiting, with their children while they decided where they wanted to settle when they saw the house hit the market.
“We fell in love with the place and took the plunge,” he said.
“We’ve had seven amazing years there, it’s an amazing location.”
The five-bedroom residence, which spans two levels and has an infinity edge pool, is on a 898sq m block overlooking The Links Lady Bay Golf Course and ocean.

The main living area that opens onto a balcony with picturesque ocean vistas is on the top level, as well as the master suite, a study, formal dining area and a powder room.
Downstairs, there are four bedrooms – including one with a bathroom – another living space with a second kitchen that opens onto a decked veranda, a cellar, a bathroom and a laundry.

Gillespie said he loved sitting outside, reading a book in the cabana or soaking up the view.
“I always love a morning cup of tea sitting on the balcony just overlooking the water,” he said.
“It’s pretty special.
“We love Normanville, it will always be part of us.
“We’re a bit reluctant (to sell) because we love the place and the location but for us and where our family is at the moment, we need to be in the city.”
Fleurieu Lifestyle Properties director Jeremy Parsons, who is selling the residence with Bonnie Willsmore, said it was the epitome of resort-style living.

“It’s a step above a lot of properties in the district,” he said.
“You walk in and it’s like, ‘wow’.”
“It’s a great spot.”
He expected it to be popular among househunters, particularly those looking for holiday homes.
