Ninja & Tfue Squash the Beef, Combine for Epic Fortnite Stream

Date:

Fortnite legends Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Turner “Tfue” Tenney put their rivalry to rest alongside Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore and Tim “timthetatman” Betar.

Once bitter rivals – Ninja and Tfue were unquestionably the most recognizable Fortnite players for a lengthy period. Fortnite arrived on the scene in 2017, and several content creators saw its potential from a viewership perspective. Ninja, Tfue and many others helped create solid foundations for themselves due in large to Fortnite’s popularity. However, it’s no secret that these two icons battled for views and encountered each other quite a few times in-game.

The saga of Ninja vs. Tfue spanned many years–even escalating to the point where Tfue challenged Ninja to a charity boxing match almost two years ago to the day. Ninja and Tfue officially ended their multi-year conflict on the anniversary of the boxing match callout. The two Fortnite legends joined Cloakzy and timthetatman for a stream with long-time fans reminiscing about the old days.

What Have Ninja and Tfue Been up to?

The two content creators followed vastly different career paths over the last few years. Tfue stopped playing Fortnite regularly in Chapter 2 Season 3–almost two years ago. Since then, he spent most of his time on Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends. On the other side, Ninja would often revisit Fortnite alongside other games such as VALORANT, Final Fantasy, Fall Guys and Among Us.

Fortnite’s latest season – Chapter 3 Season 1 – debuted in December. Ninja has invested several hours streaming the game with frequent collaborators and friends Ali “SypherPK” Hassan and Jack “CouRageJD” Dunlop. It’s been fun to watch the Fortnite legends run through public matches as they did in 2017 and 2018. Despite the game’s success of late, not many foresaw a Ninja and Tfue Fortnite reunion in 2022.

The Unexpected Fortnite Reunion

Considering Ninja’s well-documented rivalry with Tfue, which often led to clever click-bait YouTube thumbnails, no one would have had a collaboration stream on their 2022 bingo card. Ninja and Tfue rarely played Fortnite together previously and did not see eye-to-eye in many aspects of the game. Regardless, a lot of time has passed since those days. Both content creators have enjoyed many successful years, allowing for creative freedom in their respective careers.

Ninja and Tfue unexpectedly revealed that they would play Fortnite together with fellow streamers Cloakzy and timthetatman. This collaboration involved stream sniping, jokes at timthetatman’s expense and Fortnite criticism–everything you’d expect. As usual with Fortnite, the streaming sniping deflated many of the squad’s matches. The squad remained resilient, enjoyed some laughs and earned multiple Victory Royales.

The Statistics & Future

Viewership numbers exceeded 60K collectively despite the constant stream sniping between all four streamers. It was refreshing to see this iconic squad play Fortnite for a few hours. However, it might not become a regular occurrence since three of the four players have found their footing in other games. The occasional collaboration stream is still possible, and if it happens, we’ll be here to enjoy every second.
