The game can appeal to a vast range of audiences, becoming comfort food for many and thus might be the 2021 hit we didn’t expect.

Over the last few years, the Pokémon Company has released games that much of the fan community consider lacklustre. The release of Pokémon Sword and Shield was met with hostile fan reception due to its limited Pokedex. 

New Pokémon Snap has the potential to show what the franchise can do graphically and from a gameplay perspective.
