What’s Slay the Spire?
Never played it? Well, it dropped with a bang on PC in January 2019. Developed by MegaCrit and published by Humble Bundle, it then hit consoles later in 2019 and iOS in June 2020. It finally dropped on Android in February 2021.
Now, about the game. Slay the Spire is a roguelike deck-building title. You embark on an ascent with a basic set of cards and continuously upgrade your deck using luck and tactics. Starting with a base chance, rare cards become likelier to pop up every time a common card is drawn.
There are a variety of cards to explore. Attack cards are the heavy hitters, skill cards deliver defense and special buffs while power cards give you a lasting edge throughout a fight. Then, there are the status cards and curse cards that just bloat your deck.
