Live From LA!

Date:

The LA Auto Show — partnered with Automobility LA — is back for a second consecutive post-COVID year. Like most shows, it’s smaller than it used to be, but it’s bigger than last year and drawing big names and bigger product debuts to Southern California.

Ioniq 6 LA debut with crowd

Like the show that preceded it, the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, it featured an announcement from the North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year contingent, revealing the nine finalists in the three categories: Car, Truck and Utility of the Year. Last year’s event featured plenty of startups, but in 2022 the mainstream players are dominating the event, albeit mostly with electric vehicles — although there are plenty conventionally powered vehicles enjoying the spotlight on the show floor. Of course, TheDetroitBureau.com is traversing this year’s event talking with executives, taking in the debuts and bringing you all of the stories, which you can find here. This page will be updated regularly so check it often.
