A local businessperson was the guest speaker at the recent Kenton Rotary meeting.
Brian Wingfield and his partners hold ownership in several medical marijuana dispensaries around Ohio.
Wingfield stated that there is a big stigma around medical marijuana use, and he shared that the two largest needs for medical marijuana are for pain, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and treatment of migraines.
PTSD and pain treatment account for 60 percent of his customers.
Wingfield added that his clients tell him that it helps them cope with daily life and allows them to be productive parts of society again and not be crippled by pain or anxiety.
He answered questions the group had about his presentation as well as how the newly passed Issue 2, legalization of recreational use marijuana will impact his business and Ohio.
