Justin Watson Signs 2-Year Deal with Chiefs

Fan favorite wide receiver Justin Watson has been signed to a new deal. The Chiefs have reportedly inked Watson to a two-year contract worth $3.5 million, with $1.4 million guaranteed. The deal can reach up to $6 million in incentives.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the news via Twitter on Friday.

Watson was originally drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He began his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing there for four seasons before being signed on waivers by the Kansas City Chiefs.

He’s had a storied career so far, winning the Ivy League twice in college and being a part of two Super Bowl winning teams in just his first five seasons in the league. In 2023’s Super Bowl, he caught two passes for 18 yards.
