The world Hulk rarely brings the idea of ease and relaxation to mind. Defeating the Hulks in Helldivers 2 pretty much lines up with these expectations. The gigantic war machines exist on the Bot worlds in the game and can cause some real issues until you know how to take them down.
How to kill a Hulk in Helldivers 2
The first thing I should point out is that this really shouldn’t be attempted alone. A Hulk has a heavily armoured front and will require another Helldiver to kite it to access the weak spot. Of course, you could take down a Hulk alone, but it will require a lot of patience and a lot of firepower.
Go at it with a team
I found that the best way to kill a Hulk in Helldivers 2 was to have one player kite it with a gun that can pierce armour, such as a Sniper or Rail Gun. This will keep the Hulk following while the other player focuses on its back.
On the back of a Hulk is a large red heat vent. This is the weak point you need to focus on. Get around the back of the beast while it is distracted and empty everything you can into it. I would suggest one of the rocket-based weapons or a long-range sniper to stay safe. Once the heat sink is destroyed, you can start attacking the weakened Hulk with other Helldivers 2 weapons.
Going it alone
If you have decided to attack the merciless Hulk in Helldivers 2 alone, you’re going to need things that will slow it down and pierce its armour. Static Fields are your friend in this case, so use one of the Stratagems with this ability. The Saef Artillery, or one of the Eagle Runs, will provide the necessary firepower.
Once the Hulk has been slowed by your Helldivers 2 artillery, get behind it. Using a jetpack, available at level 9, will allow you to jump right over the top of it, leaving its vents free for attack. The best options for destruction alone are heavy weapons like the rail gun and arc weapons. These are able to pierce the dense Hulk armour in Helldivers 2.
