Sunworld International Airways (1st) (Las Vegas) was a small, all-jet airline that operated in the western United States from 1983 until it was liquidated in 1988.

The airline was founded by ex-managers of Bonanza Air Lines as Jetwest International Airways in 1981. The new airline commenced operations on May 27, 1983.

In 1984, the airline operated nonstop service between Las Vegas and Oakland (OAK), Oklahoma City (OKC), Ontario (ONT), San Jose (SJC), Tucson (TUS), and Tulsa (TUL), initially using McDonnell Douglas DC-9 jets.

By 1985, Sunworld introduced Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

In early 1987, Sunworld shifted its primary hub to Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), offering nonstop flights to various destinations, including Boise (BOI), Hollywood/Burbank (BUR), Las Vegas (LAS), Ontario (ONT), Portland (PDX), San Diego (SAN), Seattle/Tacoma (SEA), and Spokane (GEG).
