A 105-year-old Crafers manor beautifully blends the best of yesteryear with the latest in modern living, ensuring the grand property will delight for another century to come.

The property at 24 Old Mount Barker Rd, known locally as Woodbury, has hit the market.

Nicole Townsend bought it seven years ago when relocating from interstate and fell in love with both the home and its idyllic location.

“Having previously lived on the coast, we opted for a treechange,” she says.

“The home is lovely and cool in summer and beautiful and cosy in winter, and a great entertainer. The living room opens to a return veranda, which is perfect for hosting guests.

“It overlooks the pool out the front, and that’s really the hub of the home.

“We’ve had lots of parties here.”

The home offers 610sq m of living space over its three levels and has up to six bedrooms, as well as four bathrooms and multiple living areas.

Ms Townsend has run an external cottage as a successful Airbnb and says the home – which has a 38-panel solar system and a Tesla Powerwall – could easily be rented out as a single bedroom cottage, a two-bedroom lower level apartment, and the rest as a three-bedroom house.

“It would be a fantastic home for so many different demographics,” Ms Townsend says.

“It has such a soul and they just don’t make them like that anymore – and all within walking distance of Stirling and just a 20-minute drive from the city.”

Expressions of interest for the property close at noon on December 11.
