The Financial Services Agency or FSA of Japan has recently granted permission to leading crypto exchange Coinbase to offer trading services on cryptocurrencies. Along with this permit, the FSA granted an operating permit to the Japanese company Tokyo Hash.

FSA Japan Grants Permit to Coinbase, Trading Cryptocurrencies Allowed

The western cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase has become the first-ever Western company to receive a license of its kind, and the FSA has updated its database on the crypto exchanges licensed.

As mentioned in the guidelines, the company has been allowed to offer trading services on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Stellar Lumen, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash.

In addition to this, it should be noted that as per the licensing documents, the entity is a Japanese subsidiary of Coinbase Global and the company is registered in Japan as a crypto exchange service provider.

In accordance with the filings, the licensing was granted to Coinbase on June 18, and it was the same day when the Financial Services Agency approved a permit to Tokyo Hash.

At present, Coinbase company went on to say that it has big plans for the year ahead including the finalizing of its registration with the Financial Services Agency of Japan.

Christian Sabella, the New Senior Director and Associate General Counsel

The leading crypto platform Coinbase has appointed Christian Sabella as the Senior Director and Associate General Counsel of the capital markets division of the exchange.

In the month of May, the crypto exchange made an announcement that it had appointed a former White House official Faryar Shirzad as its new Chief Policy Officer.

Shirzad has served as a member of the National Security Council at the White House from the month of March of the year 2003 through to the month of August 2006 during the time of George W. Bush.
