FIFA 23’s Team of the Season campaign is in full flow right now and the hotly anticipated La Liga TOTS is up next in Ultimate Team.
With Real Madrid and Barcelona superstars set to dominate, the La Liga Team of the Season squad could be the best we have seen yet.
The leaks are already beginning to circulate on FIFA forums and it looks like EA has something extra special in store for the Spanish league squad.

Latest – Loading Screen Tease
The usual loading screen tease has appeared in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, but this time there are six players on show that will come during the La Liga TOTS release!
Once again, it looks like the players will be gaining skill moves and weak foot upgrades alongside the usual boosts, but the screen also confirmed leaks we have seen that daily Icon SBCs will be released!
A FUT Birthday Icon, Brazilian Icon and TOTY Icon card are shown off, with people speculating these will be for Ronald Koeman, Ronaldinho and David Beckham.
Given the leaks we’ve seen, Koeman and Ronaldinho could be right, although the FUT Birthday Icon could be for Ferenc Puskas, with the TOTY Icon coming for Claude Makelele – but we will have to wait and see!
Release Date & Time
EA has now officially confirmed the release date and time for the La Liga Team of the Season via the FUT 23 loading screen.
As expected, the La Liga TOTS will be released on Friday, 19 May, replacing the Bundesliga players in packs.
The new items will hit packs at precisely 1pm ET / 6pm BST on the day of release.
As usual, the TOTS campaign will run for several weeks, allowing EA to systematically release each major and minor league squad.
The Ultimate TOTS squad will bring the Team of the Season event to a close on Friday, 9 June.
La Liga TOTS Leaks
As usual, with the squad’s release just days away the La Liga TOTS leaks are coming thick and fast now.
The following players are set to be included in the FIFA 23 La Liga Team of the Season squad:
- Karim Benzema (OVR 98)
- Robert Lewandowski (OVR 97)
- Vinicius Jr (OVR 97)
- Eder Militao (OVR 94)
- Marc-Andre ter Stegen (OVR 94)
- Jules Kounde (OVR 92)
That’s just the main squad too, with the following players reportedly coming as Team of the Season Moments and Flashback SBCs:
- Pau Torres (OVR 89) – Obj
- Isi Palazon (OVR 90) – Obj
- Yannick Carrasco (OVR 91) – Flashback SBC

MLS TOTS Coming Soon
Although the La Liga TOTS will be the major league side coming to packs, we shouldn’t forget about the release of the MLS Team of the Season which will join it in packs.
Veteran centre-back Giorgio Chiellini could be one of the highest-rated players in the MLS TOTS squad. The Italian legend is one of the standout defenders in the US as the age of 38.
Former Arsenal attacker Carlos Vela is another Ultimate Team fan-favourite from the MLS that could claim a TOTS item this year.
The likes of Denis Bouanga, Thiago Almada and Yerson Mosquera are among the front runners to feature in the squad.
