With a beautifully created trailer from Summer Game Fest marking the launch date of The First Descendant, it’s safe to say that many have been very excited for this co-op looter shooter to launch. Well, today is the day, and it’s time to check out what NEXON have been cooking with this one.
Descendants vs Aliens
Available now on Xbox, PlayStation and PC for free, The First Descendant sees you step into the armored boots of a titular Descendant, as they fight against a devastating alien force known as The Vulgus.
You must protect Albion and the continent of Ingris, ensuring you collect all loot along the way in order to use the best weapons for the job. Immediately, one is reminded of the likes of Destiny and Outriders.
Gameplay-wise, and there’s a huge emphasis on free and fluid movement, with the use of grappling hooks to swing around the place in epic, fast-paced third-person shooting action. Each character you can choose from has unique combat styles, so when it comes to teaming up in a group of four online players, the best way to play is by picking characters and abilities that complement one another.
Seems easy, but when you take on huge boss raids and other missions, you’ll be sweating in no time!

The First Descendant Description
The First Descendant is a next-generation third-person co-op action RPG looter shooter featuring high-quality graphics created in Unreal Engine 5.
Players become a Descendant whose mission is to combat alien invaders – The Vulgus who crossed dimensions over 100 years ago and brought with them the devastating Colossi and destruction – for the survival of humanity and to protect Albion and the continent of Ingris.
