JULABO USA manufactures internal and external liquid temperature control instrumentation for both the cannabis and hemp industries as well as for research, science, laboratories, pilot plants, and industrial processes.
Recently, Cannabiz Media spoke with Mark Diener, Senior Product Manager of JULABO USA, to learn more about how he and his team use the Cannabiz Media License Database to support their marketing and sales initiatives.
Why Does JULABO Subscribe to the Cannabiz Media License Database?
JULABO USA subscribes to the Cannabiz Media License Database to connect with licensed manufacturers and producers through email marketing and sales outreach.
“Because of COVID-19 and also some legal things we have to be concerned about, the Cannabiz Media License Database gives us assurance that we’re targeting only licensed manufacturers and producers,” explains Mark. “In the states where cannabis has been declared essential, we can reach out to them and actually look for and mine for new customers.”
The Database also helps Mark and the JULABO USA team find the right people to connect with in meaningful ways. He says, “From a marketing and sales perspective, having the ability to filter license holders by geography in the Cannabiz Media platform enables our account managers and teams to get to the right people. I also like that we can drill down and look into a process at a company and actually filter out by what type of extraction methodology they’re using.” This focused segmentation helps the JULABO USA team get the best results from their email marketing campaigns.
In addition to filtering contacts and sending targeted email campaigns, the JULABO USA team uses the license alerts provided to Cannabiz Media License Database subscribers to keep tabs on licenses across the country and seize opportunities as they arise.
For example, Mark and his team plan to leverage these timely alerts in the coming weeks. He shares, “There are a number of states during the election that will be considering either medicinal or recreational cannabis, and I think that shows what a great, powerful tool Cannabiz Media is. Once the election ends and we know what’s happening, we can then monitor the license information in the Cannabiz Media License Database, and then, we can notify our account managers accordingly as to, ‘Hey, this company is opening up a facility in this state.’”
What’s Next for JULABO USA?
In recent months, JULABO USA developed a product called vDelivery which enables the team to help customers with installation and training via online video conference where they walk the customer through the setup and operation of the unit.
The company also offers remote support after a client’s installation is complete. “We have a product called LucaVision,” Mark explains. “It’s a virtual reality product that we can use to expedite servicing units in the field.”
In addition, JULABO USA launched a new version of its app this year that enables a user to run calculations to determine how much heating or cooling power they need, access instructional videos, and get helpful information. Mark shares, “In our discussions with partners and end users, they really like the fact that we have an app because there are very few instrumentation companies that have that available.” In the fall, a new service component for customers will be added to the app.
