BIG got off to a great start on the T side of Mirage against FaZe. The Germans created an early 8-3 advantage on the back of a great opening pistol and a fantastic double from Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz‘s Deagle. The international mix only managed to take three rounds of their own before switching sides, trailing 6-9 at halftime.

FaZe came alive on the offense as they strung five in a row before BIG was able to settle in the CT side. Helvijs “broky” Saukants was a joy to behold, finding impact in almost every round and converting a couple of 2vX situations that gave his team a short-lived advantage before the Germans were able to force overtime.

Overtime became the broky and Florian “syrsoN” Rische show as the two snipers took over the game. tabseN‘s men managed to keep their composure through a flawless CT side in extra time before closing the game 19-17 on the A bombsite.

Mirage also saw GODSENT and Heroic come to blows on the B stream. The Brazilians took the early lead on the T side after a Epitacio “TACO” de Melo 1v2 on the pistol round, allowing them to create a 5-0 advantage. A Danish resurgence powered by Martin “stavn” Lund keep the half close, as Casper “cadiaN” Møller and co. ended their CT side only 7-8 behind.

Switching sides saw GODSENT set the early pace again, winning the second pistol before another five-round winning streak that saw the South Americans lead 13-7 as Bruno “latto” Rebelatto shined on the defensive side. TACO‘s young squad did not let go of the lead, completing the upset against the Major semifinalists 16-13.
