Following the European and North American qualifiers, which saw HAVU, forZe and Chaos make it through, the FunSpark ULTI 2020 Asia Qualifier will offer up one more spot in the $300,000 main event, which 16 Asian teams will fight over between September 7 and October 14.
Two double elimination groups have been set up, with eight teams per group facing off in a best-of-three double-elimination bracket which will conclude with the winners clashing in the grand final for $15,000 and a spot in the main tournament.
ViCi are favorites to make the grand final through the Group A bracket
Teams like ViCi, OneThree, Beyond and Mazaalai have been placed in Group A, a group that also features Let’s Quit, who were brought on as a replacement for the defunct JMT, while Group B sports the likes of Invictus and Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga‘s TIGER as well as Newhappy, the Chinese team that made it through the open qualifier.
