Several players are banding together and demanding a change be made to Warzone‘s latest blueprint, “Rough Nugget.”
According to player reports, the special effects on the gun could cause epileptic seizures for certain users. The strength of the effects can be blinding, mimicking a strobe-light—a pattern that has been known to prompt seizures in the past for those diagnosed with epilepsy.
At the very least, some say, the gun should come with a seizure warning.

Essentially, as players progress through the match and get kills, the gun will “evolve” and flash bright colors. As Reddit user Enough_Chance put it, “It’s just a giant flash bang all the time.”
The effects are quite literally blinding, invoking the need to squint just to view the gun properly. Additionally, as stated above, the pattern and rapid blinking of the lights mirrors that known to cause an epileptic episode.
In fact, the effects are so strong, Reddit user yamaha340 posted a video of the flashing lights on the official CODWarzone subreddit asking others if their game was glitching out. We encourage readers to exercise caution while visiting the post in question.
This ultra-quality weapon is built on the base of a KSP 45 submachine gun. It’s primary black with golden accents on the body, bump, muzzle, and grip wrap. Players can purchase the blueprint as part of the Gilded Age V Reactive bundle introduced in Season 4.
Neither Activision nor Raven Software has acknowledged the potential hazard of the Rough Nugget at the time of writing. Some players have stated that there is an epilepsy warning in their Terms of Service agreement, however.
