Vertu JLR Leeds dealership closed after serious collision

Date:

Vertu Motors staff have been sent home from the PLC’s Leeds Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) dealership following a serious collision.

West Yorkshire Police said that a number of people had been taken to hospital after a car left the busy A61 dual carriageway and careered into the showroom shortly after 8.30am today (January 16).

The dealership, on Scott Hall Road, Leeds, has since been treated as a police investigation scene and closed while emergency services deal with the incident.

AM understands that no staff or Vertu JLR customers were injured in the incident.

Some staff were left traumatised by the incident, however.

A spokesperson for Vertu Motors declined comment as police investigations were ongoing this morning.
