The release of the highly anticipated Valorant Episode 8 is just around the corner, and fans of the competitive shooter from throughout the globe are more excited than ever to welcome all the new content that the next update will bring to the Riot Games title.

Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 update is set to introduce a bunch of new content to Valorant, including a fresh Battle Pass, a brand new weapon, a change to the competitive map pool, and much more. A new Agent ‘SmokeDancer’ is also expected to join the Valorant roster within the next few months, but according to leaks, they won’t be arriving to the game until Episode 8 Act 2.

At the time of writing, the in-game timer indicates 9 days remaining before the conclusion of Valorant’s Episode 7 Act 3 Battle Pass. Consequently, it’s reasonable to anticipate the release of the Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 update on or around January 8, 2023.

As mentioned earlier, Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 is also set to bring a bunch of new content to the competitive shooter. Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 will also introduce the new weapon ‘Outlaw’ to the title. For the uninitiated, Outlaw is a new sniper rifle that will cost 2400 in-game Credits and will be a cheaper alternative to the Operator. It can kill any enemy with light or no armor with a single body-shot, whereas fully armored opponents will require an extra bullet to secure the kill.
