Trump Cuts Up His Suit in New NFT Card Collection

Date:

Holders of new Trump Cards edition, dubbed “Mugshots,” will receive a piece of the suit Trump wore when he was arrested.

Former U.S. President Donald J. Trump is trying to sell NFTs again.

The newest edition of his Trump Cards NFT collection is dubbed “Mugshots” in a tip of the hat to the legal battle Trump is currently embroiled in.

Mugshots” includes 100,000 digital cards minted on Polygon, each priced at $99 dollars.

There’s a twist, however.

Really Good Suit

Trump collectors that purchase 47 of these cards (if elected next year, Trump will become the 47th president of the United States), will receive a physical edition of the card with a cut out of the suit he wore when the mugshot took place.

“For the first time, we are creating a real physical card,” said Trump in a video yesterday that launched his collection, adding that the piece of clothing collectors will receive belonged to a “great suit, believe me, a really good suit.”

Trump also explained that buyers will be invited to a gala dinner at his Mar-a-Lago Florida resort–a place he said “you’ve probably heard of, it’s become a pretty famous place by now.”

Trump Cards

Trump launched his NFT collection last year, despite claims of being a “crypto-skeptic” in the past.

The previous two editions sold out quickly but have since tanked in price. According to NFT Price Floor, between the two, the average sale price has plummeted 40%, the first collectibles trading at 0.144 ETH ($315 dollars), and the second offer at 0.02 ETH ($44 dollars).
