The notable startup funding rounds for the week ending 4/6/24 featuring funding details for Homebase, Actnano, Read AI, and twelve other deals representing $542M in new funding that you need to know about.


Actnano – $40.0M

Cambridge-based Actnano specializes in smart coating solutions that make electronics water-resistant. Founded by Taymur Ahmad in 2012, Actnano has now raised a total of $81.8M in total equity funding and is backed by Anthelion Capital.


Aerospike – $109.0M

Mountain View-based Aerospike is a NoSQL database designed for real-time and mission-critical applications. Founded by Brian Bulkowski and Srini V. Srinivasan in 2009, Aerospike has now raised a total of $171.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Alsop Louie Partners and Sumeru Equity Partners.


Binx Health – $65.0M

Boston-based Binx Health is a healthcare technology company that makes testing more convenient and accessible to individuals. Founded by John Clarkson and Pavel Rodyukov in 2005, Binx Health has now raised a total of $282.2M in total equity funding and is backed by EQT Life Sciences, Hildred Capital Management, and LLC.


Coalesce Automation – $50.0M

San Francisco-based Coalesce develops a data management software to automate data operations. Founded by Armon Petrossian and Satish Jayanthi in 2020, Coalesce Automation has now raised a total of $81.9M in total equity funding and is backed by 11.2 Capital, Bob Muglia, DNX Ventures, Emergence Capital, GreatPoint Ventures, Hyperlink Ventures, Industry Ventures, Next Legacy Partners, Snowflake Ventures, and Telstra Ventures.


Greenfly – $14.0M

Santa Monica-based Greenfly is a software platform that automates the continuous flow of short-form digital media for sports organizations. Founded by Daniel Kirschner and Shawn Green in 2014, Greenfly has now raised a total of $50.9M in total equity funding and is backed by ADvantage, Mercato Partners, NBA Equity, and Ryan Sports Ventures.

New York-based Liberation Labs is a biotech firm that develops an industrial biotechnology system for agriculture. Founded by Etan Bendheim and Mark Warner in 2021, Liberation Labs has now raised a total of $30.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Agronomics and Siddhi Capital.


Modal.io – $25.0M

San Francisco-based Modal.io is a Mastery Platform that gives every employee the skills they need to do better work by teaching them the technical skills. Founded by Darren Shimkus and Dennis Yang in 2021, Modal.io has now raised a total of $31.7M in total equity funding and is backed by Ensemble VC, Learn Capital, Left Lane Capital, and SignalFire.


NobleAI – $10.0M

San Francisco-based NobleAI is an AI software company that accelerates development of Materials & Chemicals products. Founded by Matthew Levy in 2018, NobleAI has now raised a total of $31.2M in total equity funding and is backed by Dorilton Ventures and Sway Ventures.


Permiso Security – $18.5M

Palo Alto-based Permiso Security delivers an identity-based cloud detection and response solution for cloud infrastructures. Founded by Jason Martin, Phanikrishna Modali, and Stephen Demjanenko in 2020, Permiso Security has now raised a total of $28.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Altimeter Capital and Point72 Ventures.


Read AI – $21.0M

Seattle-based Read Dashboard is a digital platform centered on participation that promotes a more effective and inclusive visual interaction for users. Founded by David Shim, Elliott Waldron, and Rob Williams in 2021, Read AI has now raised a total of $31.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Goodwater Capital and Madrona.

San Francisco-based Homebase is a software application that provides tools for employee scheduling, time tracking, communication, and task management. Founded by John Waldmann and Rushi Patel in 2014, Homebase has now raised a total of $189.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Cowboy Ventures, Emerson Collective, Khosla Ventures, L Catterton, Notable Capital, and Plus Capital.


SiMa.ai – $70.0M

San Jose-based SiMa.ai is a developer of machine learning technology to deliver a software-centric platform. Founded by Krishna Rangasayee and Steven J. Rosston in 2018, SiMa.ai has now raised a total of $330.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Amplify Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, Fidelity, Jericho Capital, Lip-Bu Tan, Maverick Capital, and Point72.


Quadratic – $5.6M

Boulder-based Quadratic is the technical spreadsheet for developers.
