90’s Ape Club – An NFT collection for the 90’s kid to reshape the industry

The 90's Ape Club team is excited to introduce their collection of characters inspired from the 90's which have been designed by award winning Artist Keivo, who was named Young Cannes Lions Global 2021 Winner in Digital Art.

The 90's was a magical time – the birth of the internet created the innovation of the website and email with the rise of CompuServe, Prodigy, AOL and more.

For the first time, people could make friends around the globe in a much more meaningful and connected way – not through pen pal letters or the digital equivalent of bulletin boards, but instead through chat rooms and GeoCities and TriPod – searches still had to be done through HotBot or AltaVista and your brand new 28.8 baud model on your brand new Intel Pentium machine running Windows 95 was Rad and L33T.

For many of us, culture and music reached a pinnacle – MTV was still playing music videos.  You probably still listen to the music from that age - 2Pac and Biggie, WuTang and Big L – you remember Ja Rule and DMX, Brittany and No Doubt – Nirvana and Soundgarden and STP and when you hear Jock Jamz you're instantly transported back to a grade school or high school sports game – or maybe Mariah Carey's Hero” comes on the radio and you remember your first slow dances at the 8th grade mixer or maybe just remember watching Dennis Rodman and Michael Jordan go HAM on the court – or the bright neon scrunchies and Hot Topic studded belts or chain wallets on JNCO pants that sagged so low they defied the physics being taught in your high school classroom.

Sound familiar? You might just be a 90s kid – or maybe you wish you were. The 90s Ape Club was created as a place for 90s kids (both in age and spirit) to come together for the next big rise of the internet: into the Metaverse.

Their goal is to rekindle that nostalgia and control our own destiny in the Metaverse with multicultural collaboration, 90s themed parties around the globe, and building an impassioned vision of the future. They want to make sure that this important era is preserved on the blockchain forever – and you can be part of it.

The collection contains 5,555 apes generated by Artificial Intelligence. The first 1,000 were minted in the OG mint and boast special Genesis traits, making them extremely rare.

What was the mint price for Genesis Apes?
0.055 ETH

What will be the mint price for presale and public sale?
Presale: 0.06 ETH Public sale: 0.08 ETH

Whitelisted members can mint up to 3 Apes per wallet during presale.

Any Apes that are not minted by whitelist members will be available in the public mint. During this mint, users will be able to purchase up to 10 Apes per wallet.

Being a 90's Ape Club holder offers a number of impressive utilities as shown below:

The team has proposed 2 NFT conferences and meetups in 2022 exclusively for holders. One of these meet-ups will be held in early August in Slovenia while the other will be held in North America with the exact location TBA. Holders will also attend special online NFT conferences for members that can't attend the IRL conferences. The goal is to share experiences and knowledge with the members as well as educate them about topics such as mental health and security in the NFT space, as well as the future of the metaverse.

The team are currently developing their exclusive P2E game which is set in an alternative 1991 Hollywood called ‘Apewood'. You will assume the role of your NFT hero on a revenge rampage against the underworld. It will be inspired by some of GameBoys classics back in the 90's. Teasers of the game will be being released to the community in the near future. The game is set to be released in Q4. Alpha The team will also offer holders an alpha channel where they will have up-to-date information about existing and upcoming projects, exclusive whitelist opportunities, alpha alerts, special giveaways, and a host of other valuable information and benefits.

In addition to the Alpha opportunities, members will have access to premium 90's Ape Club merchandise at exclusive prices. 20% of all Merchandise sales will be donated to a Monkey Sanctuary in New Zealand. Free t-shirts will also be provided for holders which we will distribute at one of the live conferences.

Sandbox and Decentraland integrations are coming in Q2 2022. 90s Ape Club holders will have access to private events in the Metaverse. More details about that will be announced soon.

The Public Mint date will be in April, the exact date is yet to be announced but you can keep up-to-date with all the latest 90's Ape Club news and information on the links provided below.

MHIENG and MHIEC to Commence Demonstration Testing of Separation, Capture and Effective Use of CO2 from Waste-to-Energy Plant

Tag Template - News Hub PRO

TOKYO, Mar 17, 2022 - (JCN Newswire) - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engineering, Ltd. (MHIENG) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (MHIEC) - two group companies of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), both based in Yokohama - are poised to commence demonstration testing of equipment for separation, capture and effective utilization of CO2 emissions from a local waste-to-energy (WtE) plant. The test program will be conducted together with the city of Yokohama and Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. The four parties recently signed a memorandum of collaboration, their collective goal set on realizing a carbon neutral society.

The demonstration testing, a joint undertaking by the private and public sectors, will integrate MHIEC and Yokohama's knowhow in the operation of WtE plants, MHIENG's high-performance carbon capture technology, and Tokyo Gas' expertise in hydrogen and carbon usage. The aim is to separate, capture and effectively recycle the mainly biomass-derived CO2 in the flue gas generated during the incineration of household waste.

Under this project, MHI Group's carbon capture technology will be applied at Yokohama's Tsurumi Waste-to-Energy Plant, which was originally built by MHIEC. MHIENG will design and manufacture the compact CO2 capture system based on its proprietary process technologies, and MHIEC will take charge of the equipment?s installation. The high-purity CO2 separated and captured from the flue gas will be transported to Tokyo Gas?s Yokohama Techno Station, located in Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama, where it will be used for a demonstration test of methanation that synthesizes methane gas through chemical reaction with hydrogen, as well as for research on direct use to industrial gas.

The project will be MHIENG's first application of its CO2 capture technology in a WtE plant. The equipment to be designed and manufactured is a compact CO2 capture system with a capture capacity of 0.3 tonnes per day (tpd), and it is applicable to various industrial facilities. It will further strengthen MHIENG?s product lineup as the company pursues increased applications of its carbon capture technologies to diverse emission sources and scales. For MHI Group, the project is significant in terms of providing a carbon negative solution responding to Japan?s decarbonization needs going forward: implementation of integrated carbon separation and capture from social infrastructure.

MHI Group today is undertaking strategic strengthening of its energy transition business, and the development of a CO2 ecosystem is central to those initiatives. Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) is garnering attention as an effective means for realizing a carbon neutral society. With the demonstration testing to be performed in Yokohama, MHIENG and MHIEC, key players in MHI?s energy transition program, will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions on a global scale, part of MHI's ongoing commitment to help protect the global environment.

About MHIENG's CO2 capture technologies

MHIENG (originally MHI) has been developing the KM CDR Process and the Advanced KM CDR Process in collaboration with Kansai Electric Power since 1990. Today the Company stands as a global leader in this field. As of February 2022, the KM CDR Process has been adopted at 13 plants worldwide, and three more are currently under construction. Penske Supports 8th Annual Tree Day in Tennessee

Tag Template - News Hub PRO

Tennessee’s tree population – weakened by a series of challenges both natural and man-made – will receive a much-needed boost thanks in part to Penske Truck Rental.

Nearly 75,000 baby trees will be planted across the state on Saturday as part of the Tennessee Environmental Council’s eighth statewide Tennessee Tree Day (TTD).

Seven Penske rental trucks transported the seedlings to holding areas in 10 locations across the state, where they will wait to be claimed by about 15,000 volunteers who will plant the baby trees in yards, farms and other locations.

“Tennessee Tree Day is enormously popular. I am amazed that every year thousands of new people come to participate. There is no end to the well of interested people who want to plant trees,” said Jeff Barrie, CEO of the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC), a nonprofit dedicated to increasing public awareness about the value of trees and their contribution to the health of the environment.

Benefits of a Healthy Tree Population

Fast beyond their aesthetic value, trees enrich the environment and add value to communities. Trees provide shade that helps cool communities, making it a more pleasant experience for those living in them.

“We also know that trees produce a significant amount of oxygen that enable animals and humans to live,” Barrie said. “We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, and trees do the opposite. It is a great symbiotic relationship upon which all life depends.”

In addition, trees help with stormwater runoff during flooding. “We like for people to plant trees near waterways for that reason,” said Cynthia Hernandez, Tennessee Tree Program Manager.

In recent years, ice storms, tornadoes and housing development have all impacted the tree canopy in Tennessee. “The natural disasters alone are the leading cause of tree death and tree loss,” Barrie said. “We think at the very least we need to do our part to replace the trees that have been lost.”

Driving Community Service

This is the third year that Penske’s Nashville location has provided trucks for Tennessee Tree Day. The trucks were loaded up this week with 15,000 trees each for transport to locations across the state. It’s the equivalent of 170 acres of tree canopy being transported in each Penske truck, Barrie said.

The trucks have played an important role in the success of TTD.

“Penske, for the past three years, has been very generous in supporting the event by an in-kind contribution of trucks,” Barrie said. “It makes our event possible. It would be much more expensive if we didn’t have that support from Penske.”

Volunteers will plant 12 tree species native to Tennessee: Bald Cyprus, Eastern Redbud, Gray Dogwood, Hybrid Chestnut, Northern Red Oak, Nuttall Oak, Pawpaw, Pecan, Red Mulberry, Shagbark Hickory, Shellbark Hickory, Virginia Pine and Wild Plum.

The trees are bare-root seedlings, which means they have no soil at the root. The seedlings are kept in bags during the transport process to protect them during the trip to one of 10 hubs across the state.

While young trees are more resilient, and weather the transport and transplanting process better, it is important to plant the seedlings as soon as they are removed from the bag to prevent their roots from drying out.

Impact on Future Generations

TEC has aided in the planting of nearly 742,000 trees across Tennessee since 2007 and the nonprofit has a goal of planting a million trees by 2025.

When mature, the tree planting will result in 8,500 acres of new tree canopy providing wildlife and pollinator habitat, 11 million tons of carbon dioxide captured, 26 billion gallons of rainwater filtered, and oxygen produced for more than 2 million Tennessee residents every year, according to TEC.

Yet, another important benefit is planting a seed of conservation in the minds of the next generation of Tennessee residents.

“The greatest thing is families will watch the trees grow as their kids grow. And those trees will be on their property for decades and perhaps generations,” Barrie said. “They will reap the benefits of the trees they plant.”

“One of the best ways people can help the environment and the community is to plant a tree,” Barrie said. “Penske makes it doable and affordable for us to do this for thousands of people in Tennessee, so we greatly appreciate the support.”
