A new trailer has been released for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, showing off more gameplay from the new adventure that awaits Poké-fans when it comes to Nintendo Switch on 28th January. The trailer gives us a good look at a unique new Pokémon adventure, as Game Freak look to reinvent the Pokémon series. set in the Hisui region that is now known as the Sinnoh region from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, this game steps back in time to before Pokémon were regularly caught, trained and used in battle by humans. Your goal is to create the world’s first Pokédex, and players will have quite the adventure ahead of them to do so. The allusions and comparisons to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are apparent in the larger more open world areas that you’ll find in the game. You start off with a choice of three starter Pokémon (just as in every mainline Pokémon game), picking from Rowlet, Cyndaquil and Oshawott, a trio of former starter Pokémon stars. You won’t just be heading out and battling though, as you’ll have to use the Pokémon you catch to help you collect materials with their abilities – the trailer shows Snorlax bopping a tree, riding Pokémon and chopping down trees – and then using those elements for crafting.
