Searchlight Capital makes two senior hires

Date:

Global private equity firm Searchlight Capital Partners has made two senior staff additions to its London office.

Giles Marshall has been named as the firm’s new managing director and James Redmayne is now a partner at Searchlight.

Prior to this role, Marshall served as a director at private equity firm Bregal Freshstream for four years. In this position, Marshall was responsible on investments within the industrial, leisure, business services and healthcare sectors.

Before Bregal, Marshall served at Bregal Capital and UBS Investment Bank.

James Redmayne has joined Searchlight from CVC Capital Partners where he has worked since 2005. During his time there, he has worked in London and Hong Kong, having most recently been a senior managing director.

Searchlight founding partner Oliver Haarmann said: “In James and Giles we have hired people who not only possess a breadth of investing expertise and successful track records, but also share our unique company values.

“These hires demonstrate our commitment to investing in our team and continuing to strengthen our capabilities in Europe. I am confident that both will play an important role in our future success.”
