Rejin makes return as Entropiq Prague analyst

Date:

Entropiq have announced the addition of former mousesports coach Rejin. Currently banned by ESIC until May 2022 for exploitation of the coaching bug and unable to take part in official matches in ESIC member as well as Valve-sponsored events, the Dane will undertake the role of the analyst in the organization’s Czech division.

The new job will see the 33-year-old return behind a team after he parted ways with MAD Lions in July following a five-month stint as the organization’s manager and one of the main people behind the creation of their new international project. Before that, Rejin was the coach of mousesports for a year and a half until he was released from the German organization following his ban.

Rejin has joined Entropiq Prague in an official capacity after a month-long trial, which he says has helped him realize the language barrier would not cause a major obstacle. Although he does not speak Czech much himself, the Dane has been living in the Czech Republic for the past two years with his family.

Rejin is back in action after leaving MAD Lions in July

“I had a few offers from really interesting organizations, but me being close to home, I have a son coming here in November, it made sense to stay here in the Czech Republic,” the former coach said in a video interview.

“In the end it’s also the professionalism that Entropiq showed me when I first arrived. I came and all the talks just blew my mind, and I didn’t expect that because I didn’t know much about Entropiq beforehand.”

In the interview, Rejin also spoke about his role in the team and how the ban affects what he can do.

“I was hired as an analyst and not the coach. It’s very important to make that distinction because I’m not going to be able to help the guys in official matches,” he explained. “I’m only going to help them improve by analyzing the demos, analyzing the opponents, and of course helping out when they practice as much as I can.”

The addition of someone with a wealth of experience from the world stage will come as a big boost to Entropiq Prague, who have been competing at a high level locally but lack results in international tournaments, having placed 22nd in ESEA Advanced Season 37.

They underwent a few changes lately, parting ways with their coach, Jozef “d0di” Kiss, and AWPer, Lukáš “capseN” Koláčný. Since late August, the team have been playing with Simon “KWERTZZ” Horák on a trial basis, while Josef “MoriiSko” Maurenc has taken over the AWPing duties.

With the new setup, the team most recently placed second in one of the biggest local leagues, Tipsport COOL Liga Season 10, after losing to Enterprise in the grand final. Next they will set their sights on their campaign in REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 2, where they will play in Group D featuring MIBR, LDLC, and ECLOT, kicking off on October 11.

Entropiq Prague‘s lineup is the following:

Czech Republic Michal “leckr” Kadlíček
Czech Republic Filip “AJTT” Dolenský
Czech Republic Jan “HONES” Urválek
Czech Republic Josef “MoriiSko” Maurenc
Czech Republic Simon “KWERTZZ” Horák (trial)

Denmark Allan “Rejin” Petersen (analyst)
