ONE of Queensland’s most successful reality television producers and her husband have placed their prestige home in Brisbane’s northwest on the market.
For the past 14 years Alex Hind has worked on some of Australia’s top reality programs such as Farmer Wants A Wife, F Boy Island, Celebrity Apprentice and Snack Masters but now is embarking on her next big move, selling her home.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 14/599 Payne Road, The Gap is perched at the base of D’Aguilar National Park boasts architectural elegance, innovation, state of the art features whilst retaining a modern and minimalist design, inspired by the Hind’s personal touch to the home.

14/599 Payne Road, The Gap is situated on the fringe of the Enoggera Reservoir in one of Brisbane’s most coveted estates.

“The home was so different to anything my husband and I had seen before from the wooden slates, the architecture and design and the focus on sustainability. We love the big open plan kitchen/lounge area and has been really functional for our family,” Ms Hind said.

“You feel like you’re in this tropical oasis, you drive just down the road and you’re heading towards the city. We’ve had so many children’s birthday parties in the big backyard, 50 kids both swimming in the pool, playing hide and seek. It’s the perfect backyard.
“We did build the magnesium swimming pool. It was the one thing that was missing from the home when we first purchased it. I would love it if the new owners appreciate the magnificent views like we have. They will have their own access to the reservoir and go canoeing on the weekends.

“I know they will appreciate how private the home is.”

Although sad her family is moving Ms Hind said it was a necessary sacrifice.

The home also includes a 6.76kw Solar Power System

“The reason we’re moving is because of our kids. We’re moving closer to their school and want them to be able to ride their bikes to school,” she said.
Director at LOYLE Property Group Ashgrove, Kathleen Luck said the home has been very popular with buyers looking for an executive style, architectural home.

The Hind’s have paid attention to every detail creating a tranquil family home.

“This home speaks to people who appreciate the finer things in life. It has a connection with family when you walk onto the property, it’s very beautiful and on a spectacular 1000sq m block, it well exceeds the average block size in The Gap,” Ms Luck said.
“The home is essentially like a private estate, it’s at the end of the line of Payne Road and on the opposite side of Silver Park is the reservoir. Five tracks and mountain biking tracks that forms the southern side of the D’Aguilar Range.

Ms Luck said she felt that the Covid pandemic had driven buyer’s interest to The Gap due to being Brisbane’s only suburb 10km from the CBD that is landlocked by nature.
“What happened during Covid is so many people moved out of the inner city suburbs. They might do four days at home and one day in the office. The people that live in The Gap want to appreciate what they have around them,” she said.
14/599 Payne Road, The Gap heads to auction on Wednesday March 6 at 5pm.
