Pokémon GO Fest 2021 Habitat Hours

The Hourly Habitats event for Pokémon GO Fest 2021 can be a bit confusing, but here's the rundown for it. | Photo by Niantic, The Pokémon Company

Pokémon GO Fest 2021 is here for trainers and its first day will feature “Hourly Habitats” that players can grab different Pokémon for every hour of the event. As to what hours mean what habitats, it’s a bit confusing, but it follows a set rotation that’s easy to follow.

As for what the hourly habitats are, they will constantly rotate for each hour between the jungle, desert mountain, ocean beach, and cave habitats in which players can collect certain Pokémon that will appear more frequently in the wild.

Some of the Pokémon that are featured for each hourly habitat:

Though the habitats are rotating after every hour, there is a schedule in which they rotate so trainers can find out what time they should their incense to grab the Pokémon that they need in their arsenal. That said, there are four habitats and eight hours to play the event habitats will rotate back again so players can participate in a given habitat twice during the day. These will all happen in local hours, according to a trainer’s time zone, in which it will rotate on the hour from when the event opened until it closes later at 6 p.m. today.

Depending on what time zone the trainer lives in, the habitat that the event starts with is not necessarily the same for a different time zone. For example, for West Coast players, it will start on the desert mountain habitat and work its way to the following habitat after the hour.

The habitats will follow the rotation from jungle, desert mountain, ocean beach and cave, in that order, then will reset back to the first habitat again.

So, if starting on the desert mountain habitat at 10 a.m. for Los Angeles players, the next habitat will be ocean beach, followed by cave and then ending at jungle until it resets back to desert mountain and the process will repeat until the day is over. For New York players, it will start at ocean beach, then cave, followed by jungle and ending with jungle, to which it will reset back to ocean beach an hour after.

Of course, the examples above do not cover all of the time zones for all trainers, but the rotation is set and will reset anyways. So if a trainer missed a habitat, it’s likely they will have another chance to catch Pokémon in that habitat sometime in the rotation.

The second day of Pokémon GO Fest 2021 will unfortunately not have the hourly habitats to catch Pokémon in, however, it will be focused on Raid Battles in which experience points and Raid Passes will be given out generously.

League players attempt to set record for largest shield on one champion with over 38,000 shielding

Published

on

If you’re trying to set a world record, maybe all you need is a whole bunch of patient friends and a ton of time on your hands. In the case of this group of League of Legends players, they were determined to set the world record for the largest shield on one champion.

After much deliberation, they got a shield that was just over 38,000 strong, but it took them multiple tries and plenty of experimentation. You won’t be able to achieve this supershield in a regular game, but it’s still fun to see this massive shield on an unkillable Sett.

Cypher player highlights wall bang setup on Ascent’s B site

Published

A Cypher player discovered an excellent setup for B site on Ascent that can help defend the site and secure a few easy kills.

Using abilities effectively in VALORANT can easily determine the outcome of a match. Players who are unprepared for an enemy push can be overwhelmed and die quickly or be forced to retreat. But setting up a strong defense can help you hold the site or at least buy time for your teammates to rotate. For example, VALORANT player khemyc uploaded a short clip explaining how to use Cypher’s ability to easily hold B site on Ascent.
