The 18-year-old will fill the shoes of Brendan “Bwills” Williams for New England Whalers‘ final event before the release of their roster.
New England Whalers have enlisted the help of Justin “FaNg” Coakley for their DreamHack Masters Winter North America campaign, the organisation’s final tournament with their roster before they enter free agency on December 6.
The 18-year-old Canadian arrives as a replacement for Bwills, who departed the Whalers roster after the end of IEM Beijing-Haidian to join Triumph in place of Kaleb “moose” Jayne, who retired from CS:GO to pursue a career in VALORANT.
FaNg has been touted as a name to keep an eye on in North America, being mentioned by Alan “Shakezullah” Hardeman in recent weeks as a player who had the potential to step up to a better team if needed.
In the last three months while competing with Rugratz in ESEA MDL Season 35 and IEM Beijing-Haidian, FaNg has averaged a 1.15 rating, fragging power that New England Whalers will sorely be in need of as Bwills was their second-highest rated player after Josh “PwnAlone” Pigue.
With FaNg‘s addition, New England Whalers will compete in DreamHack Masters Winter with:
Jonathan “djay” Dallal
Josh “PwnAlone” Pigue
Ramal “Rampage” Silva
Ben “ben1337” Smith
Justin “FaNg” Coakley
Joseph “Muenster” Lima (coach)
