More Overwatch and Diablo news will release in the upcoming weeks

Date:

Activision Blizzard has had a roller coaster of a week, from company acquisitions to new game announcements. But what the fans really want to know is: when will we get some news about Overwatch 2 and the next Diablo game? Fortunately, a Blizzard developer on Twitter confirmed that news for Overwatch and Diablo games is on the way, and we’ll see them in the upcoming weeks. But as with any news surrounding Overwatch, I keep my expectations in check.

In a Twitter post promoting a new upcoming survival game from the studio, a Twitter user inquired about whether or not Blizzard should make new games, as, according to them, they’re already neglecting some of its other properties. Blizzard’s Mike Ybarra replied with, “Blizzard is a big studio and we have talented and growing teams supporting live games as well. Over the coming weeks, you’ll be hearing more on that from Warcraft and Overwatch. Diablo will follow. Stay tuned!”

I’m over watching Overwatch

Overwatch has previously received announcements in this manner before, but many times, the announcements end up being fairly inconsequential. Slightly revamped character designs, for example, are some of the highly touted announcements we once received after a hyped-up reveal. But it’s been enough time for us to get some actual news on the game now, right..? Probably..?

The last bit of news we got revealed reworks for Bastion and Sombra, who will play differently once Overwatch 2 drops. But there are some other whispers about the game in the pipeline. Some Blizzard producers have blamed Bobby Kotick over the delays of the game, while leaks even claim Overwatch 2 will receive graphical downgrades. Either way, Blizzard is in a bit of a pickle now with some of its legacy properties. But hopefully, if the Microsoft acquisition does anything, it’ll get us our games, because some of these games are on a huge decline, let me tell ya.
