Car lover, green thumb or keen entertainer? All will find something to love about this sensational Malvern home, which is fresh on the market.

Vendor Sean bought the home at 17 Fisher St two years ago, and has since not only restored the property, but brought it well into the future with a breathtaking modern design and luxury finishes.

“The previous owners had had it for many decades and were a lovely family, so it was in nice but original condition and had been lovingly looked after,” Sean says.

“The house needed some work, but that garden was majestic – for being five minutes from the city, you could be anywhere.

“It’s amazing and you just can’t replace it.

“I loved the home’s big old rooms and its condition and I could see that with a bit of modernisation it could be the beautiful house it has turned into.

“I wasn’t really looking for a renovation project, and I wasn’t looking to do as much as I did, but it grew, and once I engaged a builder – Alan Sheppard Constructions – and interior designer Rebecca Arbon, we ended up redoing the entire house.

“Rebecca’s attention to detail is simply faultless – she is amazing and has been there every step of the way.

“There’s been nothing left untouched, every room has had something done to it.”

The home features quality fixtures and fittings throughout and offers four bedrooms – one an upstairs loft-style space that could also be used as a living area – a formal dining room, a cellar, and a separate studio or pool house.

“That was designed to be self-contained so someone could live out there if they wanted – it’s got a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, a sink and a full bathroom,” Sean says.

“It’s a pretty amazing space.”

And that garage with the glass sliding doors that open to the yard?

“That’s an awesome thing for a car lover – lit up at night, it looks amazing, and it’s also been designed to be versatile, so if you wanted to open it up to use it as an extra party space you can, and you could also turn it into a home office,” Sean says.

The property has been a much-loved family home, but, with Sean now embarking upon his next project, it’s time to say goodbye to the home they have loved.

“It’s the perfect entertaining house and would be absolutely ideal for another family,” Sean says.

“I’m so proud of how it has turned out.

“When you have the best people working on something, you can create something really special.”
