Latest Overwatch patch notes nerf Brigitte and add Open Queue

Blizzard just released the new Overwatch patch and patch notes on June 30, bringing new additions and changes to Brigitte and the game. For games with precise meta like Overwatch, balance changes and new features are important to diversify the game. The Hero Pools system is a perfect example of this.

In this particular case, these Overwatch patch notes bring a huge Brigitte nerf, other hero changes, the new possibility of playing in Open Queue, and Skill Rating changes for high-ranking players. Overwatch fans can look at the patch notes themselves to find the complete list of all changes and additions.

Overwatch Patch Changes

Hero Balancing

Brigitte is heavily played for her synergy with other heroes. Developers saw this unfair situation and decided to make a change to balance the character. Now, Brigitte’s Repair Pack no longer gives additional armor, stopping already strong characters from becoming powerhouses. Players have now some guarantee that they will never face an overbuffed Genji, Tracer, or Echo again.

Developers also increased Ashe’s Dynamite cooldown in order to prevent players from spamming this strong ability.

D.va was the lucky hero of this update. She saw her Fusion Cannons’ movement penalty reduced by 10% and her Micro Missiles less delayed after activation. Finally, she also got a duration buff for her Defense Matrix. With all these changes, players may be facing D.va online more than ever before.

Open Queue

Competitive play will be a little different for Overwatch ranked in Season 23. Now, both Open Queue and Role Queue will be supported in this Overwatch patch. Open and Role Queue will have different leaderboards and Skill Rating systems to ensure complete fairness of play. These two different game rules will not affect each other.

Seasonal Placement

In previous seasons, some players managed to get a very high Skill Rating with only their placement games. To create an environment that keeps players wanting to play more, Blizzard set a cap. After completing all season’s placement games, players can only achieve a max of 3900 SR. This change forces top players, including pros, to play more games. Because of this change in the latest Overwatch patch notes, players are encouraged to play outside placement games for a higher Skill Rating.

This Overwatch patch answered much of what fans asked. Developers added Open Queue for competitive diversity, made Hero changes for balance, and fixed an issue for high SR placements.

How to complete “Request The Boss show your army how to really fight” in TFT

Avatar

Teamfight Tactics’ fourth Set, Fates, only went live a couple of days ago and introduced new champions, traits, alongside mechanics. A new ranked season also kicked off, and Riot also added new seasonal passes filled with new quests.

Considering the patch added a new Star Shard System, arenas, emotes, and so much more, questing has suddenly increased in value. Completing all the tasks will get you one step closer to unlocking whatever reward you’ve been eyeing, but some quests can look a lot tougher than they look.

What does Request The Boss show your army how to really fight” mean in Teamfight Tactics?

Image via Riot Games

This is one of those quests that makes you re-read it more than two times. The wording is a bit complicated, and it’s hard to figure out what exactly you need to do to get the quest done.

Though it doesn’t look that way, you can complete this quest by just placing Sett onto the board for only a single round. He’s The Boss, after all, and he needs to be played so he can teach your army how to “really fight.”

If the quest doesn’t get completed for some reason, keep him on board as much as possible. Try getting him to two-star or winning a round with him, basically anything that will maximize your interaction with Sett should allow you to complete the quest if keeping him on the board for a single round doesn’t work out for you.
