KULR Technology Group, Inc. (NYSE American: KULR), a leader in lithium-ion battery safety and thermal management, has been awarded a significant contract by Nanoracks, a Voyager Space Exploration Segment entity. The deal, valued at over $865,000, signifies a major step forward in the development of advanced space batteries, set to enhance Voyager’s CubeSat operations. The contract, culminating in April with production to follow, underscores KULR’s vital role in the rapid development and testing of a bespoke space battery solution.

This collaboration with Voyager’s Exploration team, renowned for their satellite deployment and space research services, is a testament to the aerospace industry’s confidence in KULR’s innovative capabilities. Already, KULR has delivered the first article prototype battery, meeting the project’s accelerated timeline and stringent requirements, thereby cementing its technology’s critical role in future satellite applications.

KULR’s CEO, Michael Mo, remarked on the significance of the partnership, noting its potential to bring KULR’s innovative battery solutions to the forefront of space technology swiftly. “This partnership with Voyager’s Exploration team not only demonstrates our technological prowess but also sets the stage for ongoing collaborations, promising to yield multiple program opportunities,” he said.

Robbie Harris, Voyager Space’s Director of Advanced Concepts (Exploration), lauded the partnership’s ability to advance battery technology in space, emphasizing the strategic alignment in pursuing safety, reliability, and performance in challenging environments. “Our collaboration with KULR is more than a project-based relationship; it’s a gateway to future innovation in space technology,” Harris added.

The KULR ONE Space Platform, aligning with NASA’s standards for manned space missions, is set to broaden its aerospace influence.
