How to heal in BattleBit Remastered

Date:

BattleBit Remastered has just released on Steam and already boasts a player count few other titles can even dream of. The gameplay is simple but executed with such precision it’s hard not to appreciate what’s on offer. If you’re a Battlefield player, you’ll have no problem adjusting to BattleBit’s combat style. If you’re not, essential functions, like how to heal, aren’t immediately apparent. Keeping your health topped up is vital on the battlefield, so let me show you how to heal in BattleBit Remastered. If you’ve been captivated by the Roblox-like aesthetics, check out our guide on other great titles that share the style.

If you’re coming from a shooter like Call of Duty, the health system may take some time to get used to in BattleBit Remastered. There’s no regenerative health, and the only way to recover from a fight is with a Medic Kit. The Medic class is the only one with access to Medic Kit, so you’ll need to rely on your squadmates or become a Medic yourself to access this powerful item.

To use a Kit as a Medic, press ‘5’ and hold ‘Left Click’ to heal yourself. For your teammates, use ‘Right Click’ instead. If you’re embracing that Medic lifestyle, I recommend binding the Medic Kit to a side button on your mouse for quick access. Fortunately, you don’t need to do this with Bandages, as an auto-use prompt appears when approaching injured teammates.

What are Bandages for?

Contrary to popular belief, Bandages don’t heal the player. Taking damage in battle can cause you to bleed. Bleeding slowly eats away at your health and will ultimately kill you if you leave it unchecked. Bandages stop bleeding, and you can use them on yourself by holding ‘3’ while injured. While not as game-changing as Medkits, Bandages are an essential piece of equipment. As such, every class has access to them.

Is Medic the best class?

Medics are certainly helpful, but every class has its uses. One thing’s for sure; everyone likes to see a Medic, and your squad will love you if you fill the role. The Medic class is a thankless job in some games, but that’s definitely not the case here! BattleBit Remastered may be in its infancy, but it’s already got one of the most positive and wholesome communities I’ve seen in a shooter. If you want to be the life of the party, there’s no better way than showering your team with Medkits.
