Looking to get your hands on the DeLorean in Forza Horizon 5? Here’s what you need to know.

Forza Horizon 5 has officially launched, bringing with it an impressive number of vehicles for players to unlock. Aside from some of the usual cars you’d expect to see, Forza Horizon 5 has added a batch of rare and iconic cars to drive through its impressive world. One such car is the DeLorean DMC-12, which entered pop culture thanks to the release of the 80’s hit film, Back to the Future.

Here’s how to get hold of your own DeLorean DMC-12 and add it to your collection.

To unlock the DeLorean, players will need to complete the challenges in the Summer Festival Playlist. Returning Forza fans should already be familiar with the Festival Playlist, but if you’re new to the series it’s a set of periodically rotating challenges. Completing each challenge earns players a certain number of points, which can then be spent on unlocking rare cars.

Fortunately, the DeLorean only requires 26 points in order to be unlocked so it shouldn’t take too long to get hold of. There are a number of cars that you’ll notice cost a fair amount of points, most likely owing to their power and status. The DeLorean on the other hand is mostly an aesthetic purchase; the car isn’t very powerful but it’s certainly one for the collectors.

Of course, if you feel like souping it up the upgrade system in Forza Horizon 5 can see it boosted into a forceful machine.
