World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has several new areas to explore and treasure to find within. One of these treasures, the Hidden Hornswog Hostage, contains a new battle pet as a reward for solving a riddle. Below is a step-by-step way to successfully solve it.
While Dragonflight implemented a new Dragonriding skill alongside the ability to customize your dragon, additional items usable for crafting make for a unique, yet challenging experience for players to discover. Much to the joy of veterans of the series, new battle pets are also a feature of the expansion.

Directly north of the Ruby Life Pools is a Possessive Hornswog blocking an entrance to the cave with a book situated adjacent to it. Interact with the book, and it tells you to collect three different items to gain access to the cave:
Well-Preserved Bone
This item is on top of the broken tower in the Life Vault Ruins area. You’ll need to use a dragon to reach it.
Marmoni’s Prize
This will be located in the Dragonscale Basecamp. It will be a banana inside some crates behind a tent.
Adventurer’s Lost Soap Bar
In the Wild Preserve area, look for a barrel filled with water, and the soap bar will be inside.
All of these items are located in the Walking Shores, so no further travel will be needed.
Once you have all three items, return to the Possessive Hornswog, combine the items, and present them to it. It will move out of the way, allowing you to enter the cave. Inside the cave is a chest called the “Hidden Hornswog Hostage”, containing the Roseate Hopper pet and experience points.
